The
goal of Outsource Bookkeeping Services is to:
. . .remove you from the hassle of dealing with the never-ending flow of
bookkeeping details by providing a cost-effective alternative to
maintaining an in-house bookkeeper. Outsource Bookkeeping Services is professionally trained
and works under the direction of local CPAs. This allows us to
provide the highest quality of service through the depth and
extensive knowledge you would expect from a professional accounting
firm.
The work of Outsource Bookkeeping Services is designed to ensure
your business maintains timely, accurate financial records and
reports. Recognizing that not all businesses have the same reporting
obligations or analysis needs, the services that we provide are
designed to satisfy the needs of businesses and individuals that
don't require sophisticated reporting. The following are some
questions and answers that may help you in deciding if Outsource
Bookkeeping Services is right for you.
Q. What's It All About?
A. Outsourcing a "back-office" function such as bookkeeping allows
the owner and/or management to focus on the core growth activities
of the business. So whether your business needs a bookkeeper for a
few hours a week, or a full-time position, you need a highly trained
individual to give you an accurate, organized, consistent, and cost
effective solution to the ongoing accounting needs of the business.
Q. Who is outsourced/remote bookkeeping suited for?
A.
Outsource Bookkeeping Services was started to provide outsourced
bookkeeping and accounting services to small, mid-sized and fast
growing businesses as well as individuals. Our mission is to provide
the highest level of customer support; deliver services in a timely,
efficient and precise manner; and, exceed clients' expectations.
Q. When should you outsource your accounting?
A. Maybe you only need a part-time bookkeeper for your business and
don't wish to add this position to your employed staff. Maybe you
are having difficulty finding and retaining qualified help.
Outsourcing this "part-time" need can provide an excellent
alternative.
You have the opportunity to upgrade the quality of your bookkeeping
department while cutting costs! Outsourced bookkeeping allows you to
replace the wages, payroll taxes, fringe benefits, worker's
compensation insurance, employee training, and management,
accounting software, office space and other costs associated with an
in-house employee. Your current costs could be reduced up to 40%!
WHY NOT START NOW?!
Q. How does it work?
A.
Before we begin, you will need. . .
A legal
registered
business name.
Federal Identification Number (FIN), Employer Identification Number
(EIN), or Social Security Number.
Historical documents from start date to current date.
Note:
When beginning payroll services, you need to obtain
Worker's
Compensation Insurance before the employee begins work,
as well as a completed W-4 and I-9, and a
New Hire Reporting Form.
To get started. . .
Complete Interview Questionnaire and account requirements checklist
that will be mailed to you.
Obtain checking, savings, and credit card statements
one month prior
to start date.
Compile customer and vendor balances, if applicable.
Our office will then create a QuickBooks company file for you on the
computer.
On a predetermined date and time, we will pick up your data or come
to your location and input it into the system.
Please note that documents will be returned along with financials on
a pre-determined frequency, along with checks to be signed, customer
invoices to be mailed, etc.
(At this time we are not prepared to offer document file storage)
At tax time, you will be provided with either a CD containing tax
data or paper financials for your tax accountant/preparer.
Q. How do I pay you?
A.
An OBS engagement package will be given to you for your review and
signature. It includes our terms, services scope, and a personalized
fee schedule. A retainer fee equal to 8 hours of work is required of
all new bookkeeping clients. Once work begins, you will then be
billed on the 15th and last day of each month, with payment due
within 10 days. Payments are accepted in the forms of good checks,
money orders, cashier's checks, and of course cash. We also accept
credit card
payments.
Q. Do you provide
QuickBooks training?
A.
Yes, absolutely. We have Certified QuickBooks Professional Advisor
support available to new users as well as current users. We offer
company file set up, classes, and personalized training, in addition
to sales of all QuickBooks software and POS hardware. We even offer
special pricing on prepaid support plans.
Q. What about income tax planning and preparation?
A.
Outsource Bookkeeping Services does not provide income tax planning
or preparation, perform audits, or other type of financial reviews
at this time. Those are the functions of your CPA or financial
advisor. We would be an extension of your business and act in that
capacity to provide a foundation of accurate, auditable, financial
records from which outside auditors work. Our fees are less than
half of what an accountant would charge for the same functions. We
would, however, be happy to recommend a local CPA for tax planning
and other such services.
Q. What are the benefits of outsourcing?
A. Outsourcing Benefits:
It's COST EFFECTIVE!
Reduction in employer payroll taxes.
No worker's compensation insurance.
No medical insurance or other benefits to pay.
No retirement plans.
